About Federal Board of Revenue
FBR is the short form of Federal Board of Revenue is known with its formal name Central Board of Revenue (CBR) is a well-known federal department of Pakistan. It was made before the separation of Pakistan and India on April 1, 1924, under the Ministry of Finance. It looks after crimes like money laundering and unpaid tax. Their main duty is to collect taxes from all the citizens of Pakistan whether they are businessmen or storekeepers. They work according to the Broadening of tax Base Zones which is a special technology that keeps the record of those who do not pay tax and then by special orders they perform the task for FBR headquarters. They are also responsible for collecting intelligence reports on tax evasion and governing laws of taxation according to the Government of Pakistan. Nearly 21,500 employees are working under them which makes one of the most well-organized and important departments of Pakistan.
